1. Introduction

The FrSky Ampere Sensor (FAS-100) can measure Current (A), Power Consumption (mAH) and Power (W) when connected between a Battery and ESC. Current (A) and Power (W) will be displayed on the FLD-02, while Current (A) and Power Consumption (mAH) will be displayed on the DHT-U. The FAS-100 reports Power and Power Consumption without an external voltage sensor and, in addition, can be chained together to report individual cell voltages by using the FLVS-01.

2. Specifications

Model: FAS-100

Dimension: 38*30*10mm

Weight: 24g

Measurement range: 0~100A

Maximum safe current: 100A

Sensor current consumption: 33mA

Update Rate: ≥1Hz

3. Set Up

3.1 When using the FAS-100, without a FLVS-01:

3.1.1Connect “Data Out” port of the FAS-100 directly to the “Volt” port on sensor hub using the provided cable.

3.1.2Connect the “telemetry” port (Tx, Rx, GND) of the FAS-100 directly to the “digital data-stream” port of FrSky telemetry receiver (Tx, Rx, GND) using the provided cable.

3.2 When using the FAS-100, with a FLVS-01:

3.2.1Connect the FAS-100 with, at most, two FLVS-01s and connect the “Data Out” port of FAS-100 or FLVS-01 to the “Volt” port on sensor hub using the provided cable.

3.2.2Connect the FAS-100 with, at most, two FLVS-01s and connect the “telemetry” port (Tx, Rx, GND) of the FAS-100 directly to the “digital data-stream” port of FrSky telemetry receiver (Tx, Rx, GND) using the provided cable.

3.3 Connect Battery and ESC to the corresponding port of “BAT” and “ESC”, a flashing RED LED indicates normal operation.

Note:When FAS-100 is used with a sensor hub, please make sure the sensor hub is V2.0.
